This essential NQT training course is delivered by Emma Slaven, a nationally recognised NQT Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) and  a Babcock Associate in NQT Support. All sessions will take place at West Exe School.

Training content to include:

  • NQT expectations & entitlements
  • Progressing learning through effective marking feedback
  • Planning and differentiation for all groups of children
  • Understanding and using assessment and data to take learning forward
  • Working effectively with colleagues and support staff
  • Developing good learning behaviours
  • Working with parents and carers to embed learning

This training has a total of 7 sessions throughout the year. The 6th session includes schools visits which MUST be attended. If you have any queries about this please get in touch BEFORE the start of the course.

Please note that your school budget share will be debited on ledger code 7926 up to two weeks prior to attendance at this course, in line with the cancellation policy.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

Course location, programme and any course materials will normally be sent to you prior to the start of the course. All cancellations must be sent in writing as soon as the applicant is aware that they are unable to attend. If the cancellation is received 6 weeks (or 30 working days) or more prior to the start of the course, cancellation will be free of charge. If the cancellation is received between 6 weeks and two weeks (10 working days) prior to the start of the course a cancellation charge of 50% of the course fee will apply. If the cancellation is received after this point a cancellation charge of 100% of the course fee will apply. Exeter Consortium has the right to amend or cancel any courses as a result of unforeseen circumstances.
