Meet the Exeter Consortium & TSA Team
Dawn Chapman - Initial Teacher Training (ITT) Primary Programme Lead
Before joining Exeter Consortium, Dawn taught within Exeter primary schools for more than 20 years in both specialist settings and mainstream schools in a range of different roles including Phase Leader and SENCO. She is also a Governor for one of our partnership schools. She is also involved with supporting a school in Africa; Nayamba School is a charity school and Dawn has visited the school twice to teach and work with staff there, supporting the education of children in a very different setting to schools within our partnership. Dawn is passionate about the importance of inclusive, high-quality state education for all children and maximising the outcomes for every child through excellent teaching – excellence that stems from making sure all teachers have access to the best professional development right from the start of their career. Over the course of her teaching career, Dawn mentored many trainee teachers and NQTs and developed expertise in having constructive coaching conversations. Dawn has worked for Exeter Consortium as the Primary Programme Lead since 2018, working closely with schools across the region to develop and strengthen the partnerships that are vital to our approach. The most rewarding aspect of her role is building supportive relationships with trainees, NQTs and teachers in our partner schools. Email: dawn@exeterconsortium.com Tel: 01392 927171 (Option 2) |

Tania's BEd specialised in Physical Education and the Early Years and, after qualifying, she taught in several schools and also worked as a lecturer on the BEd and PGCE programmes at Plymouth University. She has been working in education for 21 years and has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in a range of schools from small village to large urban schools. Whilst working as a headteacher, Tania worked collaboratively with other leaders and also supported headteachers in a variety of schools. In 2019, she was badged as a LLE (Local Leader in Education).
