With over 20 years of experience teaching in Exeter primary schools, Dawn brings a wealth of knowledge to our Primary Teacher Training programmes. Her extensive background spans both specialist settings and mainstream schools, where she has excelled in roles such as Phase Leader and SENCO. Dawn's commitment to education extends beyond the UK. She actively supports Nayamba School in Africa, a charity-based institution, where she has visited twice to teach and collaborate with staff. This experience enriches her perspective, providing unique insights into diverse educational settings compared to schools within our Exeter Consortium partnership. Passionate about inclusive, high-quality state education, Dawn is dedicated to ensuring every child achieves their full potential through outstanding teaching. She believes that excellence in education begins with providing teachers access to the best professional development from the start of their careers. Throughout her teaching journey, she has mentored numerous trainee teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), honing her skills in effective coaching and constructive feedback. Since 2018, Dawn has been the Primary Programme Lead at Exeter Consortium, where she works closely with schools across Exeter, Devon and the South West. Her role focuses on strengthening vital partnerships that enhance our training approach.
